Mobile phones off!
Like it or not, mobile phone reception within the mountain ranges around Uki is non existent.
One has to drive 15 minutes towards Murwillumbah to get back into mobile phone range. Thank God!...and we sincerely hope that Telstra or anybody else has absolutely no plans to change all this.
After a short period of withdrawal symptoms...you will begin to breathe easily and relish the fact that you are not connected by an electronic dog leash to a billion other people.
Reclaim your space..it`s all fine!
If you are totally desperate to call someone then take the short walk down to the public phone in front of the Post Office. Keep it short!
